Media determines how our work can be dispensed and how people can see it. In the modern day there are four forms of media. These forms are oral, print, digital, and multimodal (a combination of the first 3). Each form of media has different means of getting into people’s views and attention. Print media can be used in a multitude of different scenarios, whether it would be as a brochure or a newspaper. Oral media can be a speech. Oral media is any type of media said through verbal communication from one person to group people or one other person. Digital media is media posted on the innerweb or online for other people to see. Many forms of print media have gone to digital media because digital media is more readily available now. Google searches and online ads make digital media a very effective way to push out information. Finally multimodal media is a combination of digital or physical media, and oral media. Multimodal media can be represented as a presentation with PowerPoint slides. Not only is the presenter giving you slides to read, but they’re also conveying information to you verbally. Media is a very easy subject and element to grasp, and this was never an element that I had issues with.
